Up to 1,500 Runners Expected for Annual Dew It On the Trails Invitational

The second weekend in October, up to 1,500 high school cross-country runners from across Alabama and beyond will travel to Decatur to take part in the Dew It on the Trails Invitational. The annual meet, set for October 11, 2014, takes place at Point Mallard Park in Decatur.

Hosted by Decatur High School, the meet gets underway at 9 a.m., and according to Event Organizer Rick Doke, as many as 1,500 high school runners from Alabama and Georgia will take part. Race times are as follows:

9 a.m.              JV Girls (2 miles)

9:30 a.m.         JV Boys (2 miles)

10 a.m.            Varsity Girls 5A-7A (5K)

10:30 a.m.       Varsity Boys 5A-7A (5K)

11 a.m.            Varsity Girls 1A-4A (5K)

11:30 a.m.       Varsity Boys 1A-4A (5K)
