Embracing Art - A Coming Together of Area Amateur and Professional Artists on display through September 20, 2014.
Embracing Art is an annual juried exhibit featuring works by North Alabama connected artists and was the inaugural exhibit for the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in April of 2003. The exhibit includes works in multiple media including pencil, watercolor,
oil, acrylic, clay, and mixed media. The Art Selection Committee chose artists to be included in the exhibit from their submitted
applications including photographs of up to three piece of their art. The Exhibit Judge, Sloane Bibb awarded Best of Show, 2nd,
and 3rd place winners and a number of Honorable Mention awards from the 53 piece exhibit. Directors Choice winner was also
selected by Kim Mitchell , Executive Director of the Carnegie Visual Arts Center.
