It's story time again in Delano Park

Following a break during the summer months, Story Time at Riverwild is set to resume this Friday, September 6th, and children and parents are invited to spend quality time together in beautiful Delano Park.

Story Time will be held each Friday throughout the months of September and October. Beginning at 1 p.m., the approximately half-hour story time features classic children’s stories read by former and current teachers.

Story Time at Riverwild is held around the rabbit in the Riverwild section of Delano Park and is only held during dry conditions and if the temperature is above 55 degrees. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and participants are encouraged to bring picnic blankets.

For more information, visit the Delano Park Conservancy Facebook page.

Considered the wild, emerald jewel in the heart of Decatur’s historic downtown, Delano Park features a gorgeous WPA Rose Garden, Riverwild Garden of native plants and contemporary sculpture, over four hundred legacy trees, universally accepted playground, splash pad, gazebo, walking trail, and tennis courts.
